Upgrading Filming Setup

I’m always looking for ways to improve the quality of my content and make sure every project is captured professionally.

Recently, I invested in a Neewer 200cm heavy duty tripod and a Rode mini wireless microphone with charging case to enhance both video stability and audio clarity for both short-form and long-form content projects.

The heavier, sturdier tripod was something I had been looking for, particularly for filming outdoors.

Lighter tripods can be tricky when the wind picks up, and shaky footage is never ideal.

The Neewer tripod gives me confidence that my camera setup will remain stable even in challenging conditions, making it a fantastic long-term investment.

How the New Equipment Will Be Put to Use

I am looking forward to using this new equipments across future projects, but the initial plan is to put this tripod to great use filming matches from the mezzanine vantage point on the upper floor of the clubhouse at Lutterworth Athletic Football Club.

It’s designed to support the weight of my Sony FX30 camera body and Tamron 35-150mm f2-2.8 lens, an incredible combination for APS-C cinema-style filming.

The tripod ensures smooth, stable footage that matches the quality of the equipment I’m using.

The Rode wireless microphone is a welcomed addition as I venture more into short-form interview content.

With the wind-screen shield covers, I can maintain crisp, clear audio even when filming outdoors on windy days, something that is crucial to making great content.

This makes it a reliable tool for capturing both the energy of matches and clear interviews with players, coaches, or event organisers.
